Filming on the Coast of Fuerteventura
Fuerteventura has more than 230 kilometres of coastline offering a wide variety of landscapes, ranging from extensive white-sand beaches with turquoise waters to black-sand beaches and dramatic cliff formations.
Filming in these areas, whether or not facilities are involved, requires the submission of an authorisation request through the electronic headquarters, addressed to the Directorate-General for Coastal Affairs and Management of the Canary Islands Maritime Territory.
It is advisable to submit the application more than TWO MONTHS before the planned start date of the activity, as the procedure requires additional reports from autonomous and local authorities with relevant jurisdiction, which may take up to one month to issue their assessments.
Once the submitted documentation has been reviewed and the authorisation granted, the corresponding occupation fee for the public maritime-terrestrial domain must be paid to the Directorate-General for Coastal Affairs and Management of the Canary Islands Maritime Territory.
Applicants are advised to provide as much information as possible regarding the project and the specific location for which authorisation is being requested.
