Make-up and Hairdressing for the Audiovisual Industry

Format: In-person.

Schedule: 10:00–14:00 and 16:00–20:00.

Venue: Room B – Fuerteventura Training and Conference Centre.

To train local make-up artists and hairdressers in the specialised field of audiovisual productions taking place on the island. Everything you need to know about make-up and hairstyling for film and television productions, including the time required for each process, continuity management, specific materials for lead actors and extras, and the preparation of individual workstations for each performer. This course will provide training in:

• The different departments involved in a production and the technical crew.
• The structure of the Make-up and Hair Department.
• The role of Make-up and Hair in fiction productions.
• Pre-production preparation.
• Reading call sheets and daily production schedules.
• Preparing the make-up station.
• On-set kits and equipment management.
• Ageing effects and character evolution.
• Collaboration with other departments.
• Identifying production needs and specific requirements.
• Managing continuity (“raccord”).
• Health and safety measures.
• Post-production wrap-up, equipment management and portfolio development.

Target Audience: Professionals with experience in the make-up and hairdressing industry.
