This workshop is designed to provide participants with the tools and skills needed to promote and develop film projects through an understanding of the role and responsibilities of the Executive Producer. This course will provide training in:
- The role and responsibilities of the Executive Producer.
- Project analysis and the preparation of development/production dossiers.
- Participation in industry forums, markets and film festivals.
- Budgeting and financing plans.
- Financing strategies and funding sources (public and private funding, national funds, international calls for proposals in Europe and Latin America, broadcasters, sales and distribution, capitalisation and own resources).
- National and international co-productions. Procedures and regulatory framework.
- Production schedules, expenditure plans and cash flow management.
- Contracts: rights assignments, associate producers, international sales, national distribution and VoD.
- Project financial reports and the justification of public funding.
Target Audience: Industry professionals seeking to develop their skills and professionalise their knowledge of the different stages of film production.
