Pájara is the southernmost municipality of Fuerteventura and stretches across both the eastern and western coasts of the island. It is home to some of Fuerteventura’s most popular destinations, including Morro Jable and Costa Calma.

The municipality boasts a remarkable variety of landscapes and attractions. It is home to some of the island’s finest beaches, as well as unique natural landmarks such as Cofete and the Jandía Natural Park, which covers most of the municipality’s territory.

Along the western coastline, visitors will find picturesque villages such as Ajuy, renowned for its spectacular sea caves and dramatic coastal scenery.

Pájara has a specific ordinance regulating audiovisual productions and filming activities within the municipality.

Depending on the nature of the activity, the regulations distinguish between:

• Exempt Activities (Article 5 of the Ordinance)
• Activities Requiring Authorisation or a Permit (Article 3 of the Ordinance)
• Activities Subject to Prior Notification (Article 4 of the Ordinance)

Applications for filming permits within the municipality must be submitted directly to Pájara Town Council using the official application form provided.

Applicants must include detailed information regarding the proposed filming activity, including:

• Filming dates
• Exact filming location(s)
• GPS coordinates
• Technical equipment involved
• Number of cast and crew members participating in the production
