Fuerteventura Film Commission has concluded the first training programme of 2026 with the Sound Post-Production Course: Sound Storytelling for Film and Television, delivered by renowned sound designer José Ignacio Arrufat, whose credits include internationally acclaimed productions such as Money Heist.
Held from 6 to 10 July at the Fuerteventura Training and Conference Centre, the five-day course brought together around twenty participants for a free, hands-on training programme. The course provided practical and specialised insight into sound post-production processes and the role of sound storytelling in film and television productions.
Nereida Calero, Councillor for Fuerteventura Film Commission, highlighted the importance of the initiative:

This course marks the conclusion of the first series of training workshops organised by Fuerteventura Film Commission in 2026, which has included specialised courses in production design, screenwriting and sound post-production, all aimed at strengthening professional skills across different areas of audiovisual production.
Training Programme to Continue After the Summer
Following the summer break, Fuerteventura Film Commission will launch a second free training programme, featuring new workshops focused on a variety of audiovisual professions, including make-up, cinematic lighting, sound, and other specialist disciplines.
Through this programme, Fuerteventura Film Commission continues to promote professional development and support local talent, further strengthening Fuerteventura’s position as a leading destination for audiovisual productions.
