Filming on Roads
Filming, audiovisual productions and recording activities on roads require authorisation from the relevant authorities.
Where filming takes place on roads within municipal boundaries, authorisation must be obtained from the local municipal police. For county roads, authorisation must be requested from the Department of Public Works, Infrastructure and Transport of the Island Council of Fuerteventura.
In the latter case, the corresponding authorisation request (general application form) must be submitted at least 30 days prior to the planned filming date, together with the required supporting documentation, through the electronic headquarters of the Island Council of Fuerteventura.
Administrative and Technical Documentation Required:
- Proof of identity of the applicant. In the case of legal entities, this must be provided by means of a simple copy of the power of attorney.
- Project description, which must include:
- Submission of any data, documents or background information, where available, related to the project.
- Description of the characteristics of the activity to be carried out, listing the personnel and technical resources involved in the filming, recording or photographic shoot, including:
- Dates
- Expected number of days
- Type of days (working days, public holidays, or both)
- Schedule
- Specification of the number of people involved and the type of equipment to be used
- Identification of the vehicles involved
- Definition of the intended occupation of the road and justification of the reason for such occupation:
- Lane closure
- Road closure
- Location of the occupation or traffic closure:
- Road code, kilometre point and side of the road to be occupied
- Specification of the area and sections of the road to be occupied (protection zones, shoulder, lane or road closure), indicating the occupied and free widths
- Submission of photographic documentation of the area to clarify and supplement the information provided above.
