This year, the Fuerteventura Film Commission’s training workshop programme introduces a number of important new developments, including several courses being offered on the island for the very first time. The announcement was made by Nereida Calero, Councillor responsible for the FFC, during the presentation of the 2024 training programme, accompanied by industry professionals with extensive experience in the audiovisual sector who will deliver the workshops over the coming months.
According to Nereida Calero, the Fuerteventura Film Commission has been committed to training professionals and newcomers to the industry for the past five years, with the ultimate goal of supporting incoming productions efficiently and enabling production companies to recruit qualified professionals residing in Fuerteventura.
The workshops are organised in collaboration with the Canary Islands Institute for Cultural Development – Canary Islands Film and form part of the special programme of activities organised by the FFC to celebrate its tenth anniversary.
Among the courses being offered for the first time are Natural and Creative Make-up and Hairdressing for Photographic Shoots, Sustainable Production Assistant, Screenwriting, and Assistant Director Training. In addition, the third edition of the Production Assistant Workshop will be held. This course returns after several years and has proven highly successful in previous editions. Full details and registration information are available on the Fuerteventura Film Commission website.
