The Fuerteventura Film Commission took part in the Málaga Film Festival as part of the Canary Islands Films initiative, which featured a prominent stand as the festival’s invited territory. This consortium, made up of the Government of the Canary Islands, the seven island Film Commissions, the Canary Islands Special Zone (ZEC) and private sector representatives, once again participated in this prestigious event to continue promoting the exceptional advantages the archipelago offers as a destination for film and audiovisual productions.
Canary Islands Films had its own stand within the festival’s new industry area, MAFIZ (Málaga Festival Industry Zone). This space provided producers and audiovisual professionals with the opportunity to discover the latest feature film projects and participate in a range of networking activities. It also featured a dedicated business area known as the Industry Club, designed to facilitate negotiations and commercial opportunities among participating companies. Numerous meetings were held with production companies to showcase the Canary Islands’ potential as a leading audiovisual destination.
In addition to its presence at the industry stand, the Fuerteventura Film Commission also attended an official event at Málaga City Hall, where the Canary Islands received the Biznaga award as the festival’s invited territory.
