The short film <span class=\"s1\"><i>The Teacher Has Disappeared!<\/i><\/span>, created by nursery and primary school students from the centre, received the award in the <span class=\"s1\"><b>Canary Islands Primary and Early Years Education Category<\/b><\/span> during a gala ceremony held today in Tenerife.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><i>The Teacher Has Disappeared!<\/i> had already won <span class=\"s1\"><b>Second Prize for Best Short Film in Fuerteventura<\/b><\/span> last Monday, earning the opportunity to compete at regional level during the Cinedfest Grand Final in Tenerife alongside the other island winners.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The President of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, <span class=\"s1\"><b>Lola Garc\u00eda<\/b><\/span>, and the Councillor responsible for the <span class=\"s1\"><b>Fuerteventura Film Commission<\/b><\/span>, <span class=\"s1\"><b>Nereida Calero<\/b><\/span>, praised the talent of Fuerteventura\u2019s young people, who once again demonstrated their enthusiasm for audiovisual storytelling and cinema. They also congratulated and thanked all participating schools, students, teachers and families who contributed to the success of this year\u2019s edition of Cinedfest.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The short film was produced entirely by nursery and primary school pupils from <span class=\"s1\"><b>CEIP Valles de Ortega<\/b><\/span>, located in the municipality of <span class=\"s1\"><b>Antigua<\/b><\/span>. The students were involved in every stage of the project, from the initial concept and scriptwriting to pre-production, filming and editing, including the creation of the film\u2019s sound effects.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The story follows a group of students who, tired of doing homework, decide to take drastic measures to avoid it. Along the way, they discover that true enjoyment comes from learning and sharing experiences with their classmates.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">All the films submitted to the competition, as well as the
