The island serves as one of the main settings for the production, which stars <span class=\"s1\"><b>Javier Bardem<\/b><\/span> and <span class=\"s1\"><b>Victoria Luengo<\/b><\/span>, with filming taking place in locations including <span class=\"s1\"><b>Punta de Jand\u00eda<\/b><\/span> and other areas of <span class=\"s1\"><b>P\u00e1jara<\/b><\/span> and <span class=\"s1\"><b>La Oliva<\/b><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Production on the island will continue for seven weeks, with scenes being shot both on location and inside hotels, restaurants and other local establishments.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The film is expected to generate <span class=\"s1\"><b>more than \u20ac4 million in local investment<\/b><\/span>, while also providing opportunities for almost <span class=\"s1\"><b>300 local extras<\/b><\/span>, highlighting the positive impact of the production on both the island\u2019s economy and its audiovisual sector.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">This was emphasised by <span class=\"s1\"><b>Lola Garc\u00eda<\/b><\/span>, President of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, during a recent visit to the set alongside <span class=\"s1\"><b>Nereida Calero<\/b><\/span>, Councillor responsible for the <span class=\"s1\"><b>Fuerteventura Film Commission<\/b><\/span>, and <span class=\"s1\"><b>Alejandro Jorge<\/b><\/span>, Mayor of P\u00e1jara. They were joined by <span class=\"s1\"><b>Raquel Acosta<\/b><\/span>, Councillor for Culture, and <span class=\"s1\"><b>Juan Jos\u00e9 Viera<\/b><\/span>, Councillor for Commerce.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Nereida Calero highlighted \u201cthe significant coordination effort involved in hosting productions of this scale in Fuerteventura, an area in which we must continue improving, as well as the importance of working closely with production companies to support and facilitate their projects.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cThrough the Fuerteventura Film Commission, we remain committed to this industry so that the island continues to be a preferred destination for film productions, generating direct economic benefits and supporting local employment,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><i>The Beloved<\/i> tells the story of an acclaimed film director and his daughter, an unsuccessful actress, who find themselves working together on a film after years of estrangement and a difficult past that neither of them has been willing to confront.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Alongside <span class=\"s1\"><b>Javier Bardem<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s2\"> and <\/span><span class=\"s1\"><b>Victoria Luengo<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s2\">, the cast includes <\/span><span class=\"s1\"><b>Ra\u00fal Ar\u00e9valo<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s2\">, <\/span><span class=\"s1\"><b>Marina Fo\u00efs<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s2\">, <\/span><span class=\"s1\"><b>Mourad Ouani<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s2\">, <\/span><span class=\"s1\"><b>Ra\u00fal Prieto<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s2\">, <\/span><span class=\"s1\"><b>Melina Matthews<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s2\">, <\/span><span class=\"s1\"><b>Laura Birn<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s2\">, <\/span><span class=\"s1\"><b>Nuria Prims<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s2\">, <\/span><span class=\"s1\"><b>Pablo G\u00f3mez-Pando<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s2\"> and <\/span><span class=\"s1\"><b>Malena Villa<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s2\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><i>The Beloved<\/i><span class=\"s2\"> is a <\/span><span class=\"s1\"><b>Movistar Plus+ Original<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s2\"> production, co-produced by <\/span><span class=\"s1\"><b>Caballo Films<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s2\"> and <\/span><span class=\"s1\"><b>El Ser Querido AIE<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s2\">, with French co-production support from <\/span><span class=\"s1\"><b>Le Pacte<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s2\"> and in association with <\/span><span class=\"s1\"><b>Canal+ France<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s2\">. The project is financed by the <\/span><span class=\"s1\"><b>ICAA<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s2\"> and <\/span><span class=\"s1\"><b>Creative Europe MEDIA<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s2\">, with additional support from the <\/span><span class=\"s1\"><b>ICEC<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s2\"> and the <\/span><span class=\"s1\"><b>Community of Madrid<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s2\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">The film will be released theatrically in Spain by <span class=\"s1\"><b>A Contracorriente Films<\/b><\/span> before becoming exclusively available on <span class=\"s1\"><b>Movistar Plus+<\/b><\/span>.
