Ramiro Blas Named Ambassador of the Fourth Fuerteventura Natural Film Set Award at Notodofilmfest<\/b><\/p>\n
The actor has presented his short film PLAN\u00c4NDERUNG (Change of Plans)<\/b><\/span>, produced entirely with a professional crew from Fuerteventura.<\/p>\n The Fuerteventura Film Commission<\/b><\/span> and the online short film festival Notodofilmfest<\/b><\/span> have once again joined forces for the fourth edition of the Fuerteventura Natural Film Set Award<\/b><\/span>, a category that places the island at the heart of the festival as both a filming location and a source of inspiration for filmmakers.<\/p>\n This year, the award is championed by Argentine actor Ramiro Blas<\/b><\/span>, who stepped behind the camera to direct PLAN\u00c4NDERUNG (Change of Plans)<\/b><\/span>, a short film shot in Fuerteventura and produced entirely by audiovisual professionals based on the island.<\/p>\n The film was presented today by its director alongside Lola Garc\u00eda<\/b><\/span>, President of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, and Nereida Calero<\/b><\/span>, Councillor responsible for the Fuerteventura Film Commission<\/b><\/span>.<\/p>\n Lola Garc\u00eda explained that the initiative aims \u201cnot only to promote local talent, but also to strengthen the film industry as a cultural and economic driver for Fuerteventura.\u201d She added that \u201cour island, with its unique landscapes and incomparable light, once again becomes the perfect setting for stories that inspire and move audiences. These are landscapes that we must continue to protect.\u201d<\/p>\n Nereida Calero thanked Ramiro Blas for supporting this year\u2019s edition of the award, noting that \u201chis involvement will help further strengthen the Fuerteventura Natural Film Set Award, whose purpose is to encourage audiovisual creativity while showcasing the island\u2019s landscapes as a source of inspiration and a world-class filming location.\u201d<\/p>\n She also encouraged filmmakers to take part in the competition, not only by competing for the Fuerteventura Natural Film Set Award<\/b><\/span>, but also for the festival\u2019s general awards, which will be presented in January 2026<\/b><\/span> at Callao Cinemas in Madrid<\/b><\/span>.<\/p>\n Argentine actor and presenter Ramiro Blas<\/b><\/span>, widely known for his roles in the television series Locked Up (Vis a Vis)<\/b><\/span> and The Boarding School: Las Cumbres<\/b><\/span>, spoke of his affection for Fuerteventura.<\/p>\n In 2023, Blas worked on Islands<\/b><\/span>, a German feature film directed by Jan-Ole Gerster<\/b><\/span> and filmed entirely in Fuerteventura.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I first arrived on the island, I felt embraced by both its people and its extraordinary natural environment,\u201d he explained. \u201cIt was an experience that connected perfectly with my greatest passion in life. So when I was invited to become ambassador for the Fuerteventura Natural Film Set Award, I couldn\u2019t say no. I wanted to express what makes Fuerteventura different from the other islands and to highlight its truly unique surroundings.\u201d<\/p>\n Blas also stressed the importance of working with local talent during the production of the short film.<\/p>\n \u201cFor this project, we relied entirely on professionals and residents from Fuerteventura.
