The new feature film directed by Javier Veiga<\/b><\/span> will be released in cinemas nationwide on 5 December<\/b><\/span>.<\/p>\n Playa de Lobos<\/i> has unveiled its official trailer, now available to watch at:<\/p>\n https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/v\/17f5TTySoJ\/<\/p>\n Filmed entirely in Fuerteventura<\/b><\/span> during 2024, the feature will arrive in cinemas across Spain on 5 December<\/b><\/span>, bringing a piece of the island\u2019s landscapes, culture and spirit to audiences nationwide.<\/p>\n Playa de Lobos<\/i> is a comedy directed by <\/span>Javier Veiga<\/b><\/span> and stars <\/span>Dani Rovira<\/b><\/span>, <\/span>Marta Hazas<\/b><\/span>, <\/span>Antonio San Juan<\/b><\/span> and <\/span>Javier Veiga<\/b><\/span> himself.<\/span><\/p>\n The production was filmed across the municipalities of Antigua<\/b><\/span>, P\u00e1jara<\/b><\/span>, Puerto del Rosario<\/b><\/span>, La Oliva<\/b><\/span> and Betancuria<\/b><\/span>. The five-week shoot involved 280 local extras<\/b><\/span>, selected through a casting process held on the island, and generated an estimated \u20ac1 million in economic impact<\/b><\/span> for Fuerteventura.<\/p>\n The film\u2019s main location is Playa de la Guirra<\/b><\/span> in Caleta de Fuste<\/b><\/span> (Antigua). Additional scenes were filmed in locations including the Corralejo Dunes Road<\/b><\/span> and Corralejo Harbour<\/b><\/span> (La Oliva), the historic village of Betancuria<\/b><\/span>, and private locations in Tef\u00eda<\/b><\/span> and Costa Calma<\/b><\/span>.<\/p>\n The production received support and location services from the Fuerteventura Film Commission<\/b><\/span>.<\/p>\n According to Nereida Calero<\/b><\/span>, Councillor responsible for the Film Commission, \u201cfilm productions represent an important opportunity to diversify the local economy, generating both investment and employment in Fuerteventura.\u201d<\/p>\n She added that \u201cit is essential to continue supporting the development of the audiovisual industry on the island while ensuring that growth remains fully compatible with the protection and preservation of our territory and landscapes.\u201d<\/p>\n Playa de Lobos<\/i> is produced by <\/span>Mediolim\u00f3n<\/b><\/span>, <\/span>Zebra Producciones (Grupo IZEN)<\/b><\/span> and <\/span>Epos Cine<\/b><\/span>, with the support of <\/span>RTVE<\/b><\/span> and the collaboration of <\/span>Pampa Films<\/b><\/span>. The film will be distributed in Spain by <\/span>Tripictures<\/b><\/span>. <\/span>Marta Hazas<\/b><\/span> and <\/span>Sara Fern\u00e1ndez-Velasco<\/b><\/span> serve as executive producers.<\/span><\/p>\n The story follows two completely different men who meet at sunset in a beach bar overlooking Lobos Islet<\/b><\/span>.<\/p>\n Manuel<\/b>, an Andalusian who works at the beach bar, and Klaus<\/b><\/span>, an Argentine tourist who refuses to leave his sun lounger, have little in common.
