Fuerteventura Film Commission Strengthens Audiovisual Training with the New Advanced Photography Course ‘The Eye and the Photographer’

The training programme will take place from 1 to 5 December and will be taught by renowned photojournalist and filmmaker José Luis Valdivia.

The Fuerteventura Film Commission continues its commitment to the training and professional development of the island’s audiovisual sector with a new addition to its programme of specialised workshops.

On this occasion, the organisation is offering the Advanced Photography Course: The Eye and the Photographer, delivered by internationally recognised photojournalist, filmmaker and educator José Luis Valdivia through his production company IKAPIA Filma.

This is the second photography course organised by the Film Commission and will be held in Classroom E of the Fuerteventura Training and Conference Centre from 1 to 5 December, with classes taking place in the afternoon from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The course comprises 20 hours of training and is aimed at participants with a basic understanding of photography and lighting. The programme will focus on advanced digital image processing techniques and professional studio photography using advanced lighting setups.

According to Nereida Calero, Councillor responsible for the Fuerteventura Film Commission, “with this course we are reinforcing our commitment to supporting people who wish to develop their careers within the audiovisual sector. We remain dedicated to providing high-quality training opportunities that enable professionals to grow, innovate and continue positioning Fuerteventura as a creative destination full of opportunities.”

Registration will be open from 17 to 23 November through the Training section of the Fuerteventura Film Commission website.

Places are limited to 25 participants, and admission will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to residents of Fuerteventura.
