Nearly thirty participants completed the professional photography course “The Photographer’s Eye”, organised by the Fuerteventura Film Commission as part of its ongoing training programme for professionals and individuals interested in pursuing a career in the audiovisual industry.

The workshop was delivered by renowned photojournalist, filmmaker and international educator José Luis Valdivia through his production company IKAPIA Filma.

Nereida Calero, Councillor responsible for the Fuerteventura Film Commission, attended the closing ceremony and certificate presentation, highlighting the importance of a course that “continues our commitment to the technical and artistic development of future local professionals, providing them with the tools required to undertake high-level projects in the competitive world of image-making and audiovisual production.”

José Luis Valdivia, a photographer from Fuerteventura with more than twenty years of experience in photography and filmmaking, brought a unique perspective to the programme. Throughout the course, participants acquired the knowledge and creative foundations necessary to develop their own personal voice and artistic vision in the field of photography.
