The exhibition can be visited free of charge at the Casa del Zapatero until 21 November.
The travelling exhibition “Fuerteventura, A Natural Film Set”, organised as part of the celebrations marking the 10th anniversary of the Fuerteventura Film Commission, has arrived in Betancuria following successful stops in Puerto del Rosario, Corralejo and Antigua.
The exhibition was officially inaugurated yesterday in the presence of Nereida Calero, Councillor responsible for the Fuerteventura Film Commission, Enrique Cerdeña, Mayor of Betancuria, and Councillor José Cerdeña.
Visitors can enjoy the exhibition free of charge until 21 November at the Casa del Zapatero, opening Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Following its stay in Betancuria, the exhibition will move to the Morro Jable Bus Station from 26 November to 10 December, before concluding its tour of the island’s six municipalities at the Gran Tarajal Library from 16 to 30 December.
Originally inaugurated on 16 September at the Chillida Hall of the Fuerteventura Training and Conference Centre, “Fuerteventura, A Natural Film Set” offers visitors a journey through some of the most significant productions filmed on the island and reveals a lesser-known side of filmmaking through a collection of exclusive behind-the-scenes photographs captured during productions.
The exhibition also serves as a tribute to the audiovisual industry, whose dedication and perseverance have helped establish Fuerteventura as one of the world’s leading natural film locations.
In recent years, the island has hosted major international productions including Wonder Woman 1984, Solo: A Star Wars Story, The Man Who Killed Don Quixote, Allied and Marvel’s Eternals, among many others. National productions filmed in Fuerteventura include 30 Coins, The Lighthouse of the Orcas, 4L, Solo, Milk Men, Rendir los Machos and The Traveller.
