‘Fuerteventura, A Natural Film Set’ Exhibition Arrives at Fuerteventura Airport

More than 3,000 people have already visited this exhibition organised by the Fuerteventura Film Commission, which has now toured all six municipalities of the island.

The exhibition is currently on display at Fuerteventura Airport until 27 April.

More than 3,000 visitors have already experienced the exhibition created by the Fuerteventura Film Commission to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Following a successful tour across the island’s municipalities and due to the positive response received throughout the past year, the travelling exhibition “Fuerteventura, A Natural Film Set” has now arrived at Fuerteventura Airport, where both residents and visitors can enjoy it until 27 April.

Nereida Calero, Councillor responsible for the Fuerteventura Film Commission, highlighted the excellent reception the exhibition has received at each of its venues. The exhibition has previously been displayed at the Fuerteventura Training and Conference Centre in Puerto del Rosario, the auditoriums of Corralejo and Antigua, the Casa del Zapatero in Betancuria, the assembly hall of the Morro Jable Bus Station, and the Gran Tarajal Library.

“This exhibition has generated significant interest among both residents and visitors, particularly because of its content and the productions that have been filmed in Fuerteventura,” explained Calero. “Now we are presenting it at Fuerteventura Airport as a showcase for the island and as a first introduction for everyone who comes to visit us.”

The exhibition also serves as a tribute to the audiovisual industry, whose dedication and commitment have helped establish Fuerteventura as one of the world’s leading natural film locations.

“I would like to congratulate everyone who contributes to this industry on the island. We are proud of everything that has been achieved over the last ten years, and our commitment is to continue supporting a sector that is fully compatible with Fuerteventura and its natural environment,” Calero added.

In recent years, Fuerteventura has hosted major international productions including Wonder Woman 1984, Solo: A Star Wars Story, The Man Who Killed Don Quixote, Allied and Marvel’s Eternals, among many others. National productions filmed on the island include 30 Coins, The Lighthouse of the Orcas, 4L, Solo, Milk Men, Rendir los Machos and The Traveller.
